Chipo N.
I have a blend of compassionate care experience with children and youth with special needs, and over three years of expertise in customer relationship management within a financial institution. For the past 18 months, I have worked closely with children and youth with a range of diagnoses ranging from Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), ADHD, PTSD, Autism, and Down Syndrome. My responsibilities have been not limited to providing daily support, implementing therapeutic strategies, and working closely with families, caregivers, and professionals to support each child’s developmental goals. My experience spans both agency-based assignments and private family employment, which has deepened my adaptability, patience, and ability to work in diverse settings. Prior to my role as a respite and home support worker, I served as a Customer Relationship Manager in the banking sector for over three years. In this role, I developed high-level communication, problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills while consistently delivering client-focused service, managed complex accounts, and upheld a strong attention to detail and meeting tight deadlines. These skills have proven invaluable in my current work, particularly in navigating sensitive client needs and maintaining accurate documentation. Furthermore, I have completed various trainings relevant to care and support work, enhancing my competency in areas such as behavioral management, trauma-informed care, and safety protocols. Whether working independently or as part of a team, I possess reliable, empathetic, and solution-oriented abilities.
