Olivia B.
I'm Olivia. I'm someone who truly understands the importance of connecting with children and helping them feel validated and confident. Growing up around a variety of personalities has taught me to pay attention, adapt with patience and approach every moment with compassion. I enjoy expanding my creativity by expressing myself through card-making, scrapbooking, and collage-making. Outside of childcare, I stay active with callisthenics, mat pilates, nature walks and love learning new languages (I'm currently attempting to learn Italian) as well as random trivia, which has often inspired some fun educational moments with the kids I have cared for I hope to be a guiding light who nurtures a child's inner brilliance and helps them discover their spark that makes them shine
I've been caring for children since I was 11, and it's something that always felt natural and meaningful to me I've looked after a 5 year in sherwood park, as well as an 8 year old and 11 year old in Camrose My responsiilites have included preparing meals, assisting with homework, maintaining daily routines, light housework, planning and encouraging educational activies that promoted creativity, social skills and problem solving. I've had the opportunity to volunteer in a kindergarten classroom and have assisted with group activities, one one-on-one tutoring and other classroom support several times . I also worked as a soccer coach for children aged 1 to 8, where the main focus was building confidence, fostering connections and inclusivity and having fun. I have a genuine commitment to making the people around me feel safe, understood and cared for
