Kayla J.
I love working with kids and have done so in many settings since 2019—especially through coaching and play-based environments. I’ve supported children aged 5–12, including long-term care for a family of six and occasional overnight babysitting. I’m also experienced in pet sitting and caring for busy households. As a kinesiology student, I’m especially passionate about motor learning, physical activity, and outdoor play. I believe in the power of movement for development and confidence, and I strive to create positive, inclusive environments where kids can grow, explore, and feel seen.
Since 2019, I’ve worked with kids aged 5–12 through coaching, babysitting, and long-term family support. I’ve built strong relationships with families—one of whom I’ve worked with for several years—and I’m experienced in both day and overnight care. I’ve also provided pet sitting and have a deep understanding of responsibility and trust. As a kinesiology student with a passion for adapted physical activity (APA), I’m committed to supporting people with disabilities and creating inclusive spaces where everyone feels seen and valued. I believe in meeting each person where they’re at and bringing patience, empathy, and energy into every interaction.
