Ashlyn G.
My name is Ashlyn. I am full-time Emotional Behavioural Specialist with the Edmonton Catholic School Division who is looking for summer employment during the school break in July and August. If you are looking for a kind, patient, experienced individual who is trained in Child development to support your family during the 2025 summer months read below: I hold a bachelor’s degree in Child and Youth Care from MacEwan University and currently work full time during the school year as an Emotional Behavioural Specialist with Edmonton Catholic School Division. I have experience working with children in group home, summer camp, church, school, and community setting. I also am studying towards my Masters of Science in Child and Youth Care Counselling. In my career as a Behavioural Specialist, we do not work the summer months, and therefore I am looking for opportunities for summer work and am hoping to connect with a wonderful family who is in need of someone who can care-give, provide respite or nanny services, and facilitate fun and meaningful summer activities with their children. I have skills in social, emotional development, behavioural strategies, child development, and have a strong understanding of complex needs and children who have autism or other developmental disabilities. I am also a sister to a brother who is autistic which has provided me with personal experience in caregiving, as well as patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children and youth. Other fun facts about me: I enjoy music, arts and creative and playful activities, being active and outside, volunteer projects, theatre, and playing with children.
