I am Carla, a certified caregiver with nearly a decade of experience in looking after children. Prior to coming to Canada, I had 8 years of caregiving experience caring for children ages 1 and above. I am very loving, compassionate, and kind. This natural affinity for children must have stemmed from the fact that I come from a large family and have four children of my own. I passed the National Competency Assessment for Caregivers in the Philippines, which focuses on: - Fostering social, intellectual, creative, and emotional development of children. - Fostering the physical development of children. - Providing care and support to individuals with special needs. - Maintaining a healthy and safe environment. - Responding to emergencies. - Cleaning living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, toilets, and bathrooms. - Washing and ironing clothes. - Preparing hot and cold meals. Furthermore, my bachelor's degree in Psychology and twelve years of teaching experience have greatly enhanced my skills in communication, time-management, and critical thinking. I am available to work full-time.

Looking after children is not easy, but I am passionate about it. With a total of 8 years of experience as a caregiver and having 4 children of my own, I would say I am very dependable and efficient. I have cared for toddlers and school-age children back in the Philippines, and I am now working as a caregiver for 2 young boys, with one on the autism spectrum. I work closely with the parents, adhering to the type of care that best fits the child's needs.
