Sarah W.
I moved to Edmonton over a year ago for what I thought was my dream job as a beekeeper. The position has since been eliminated and I was left rethinking my future goals. I have decided to return to school to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree. I am 35 and do not have children of my own so I would love to help out other families while I am in school. My mother and sister are both in education and have been a huge inspiration for me returning to school. I have had many types of employment and I really thrive when I am in service to others and my community. I have worked closely with food for many years and consider myself a quality chef. I eat vegan and mostly gluten free and cook most of my meals from scratch. I have an extensive organic pantry that I purchase in bulk and keep well stocked. I am passionate about sharing quailty food with others and adding longevity in that way. In my free time I keep very active. I love to ride my bike, kayak, nordic ski and I travel when there is good music to be seen live. I have been on a personal health journey and feel better now than I did as a teenager, and I love to share my excitement and awe of life with othes.
I am the eldest of 5 and started babysitting at 11 years old. I worked as a live in Nanny for almost 2 years for 3 children ages 6, 10, and 12. I have had various part time baby sitting jobs since then, as well as a 3 year old nephew and 1 month old niece. I am a lifeguard, swim instructor, and I have current first aid training.
