Mimi S.
My name is Mimi. I am from Nigeria and I am a Christian. I am a 27-year-old female and currently single. I am studying to become a healthcare aide at Norquest College. I have been living in Edmonton for two years now, by myself since my family is back in Nigeria. I am a kind, humble, and God-fearing lady. I have worked in a daycare in my country for two years, where I taught and took care of kids. I am passionate and caring towards children and aspire to have my own someday because I find kids adorable. I love cooking, shopping, crocheting, dancing, and reading, listening to music. I also enjoy hanging out, traveling, and watching shows.
In my previous roles as a child care provider, I was responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for children of varying ages. My responsibilities included supervising daily activities, ensuring the children's well-being, and assisting with their educational and emotional development. I actively planned and organized age-appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, outdoor play, and early learning exercises to encourage social, cognitive, and motor skill development. In addition to maintaining a structured routine, I worked closely with parents to ensure open communication about the children's progress and any concerns that arose. I also provided assistance with meal preparation, personal hygiene, and bedtime routines, all while fostering a positive, supportive atmosphere. Through these experiences, I have developed strong multitasking, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, which have equipped me to handle various situations with patience and professionalism.
