My name is Hayley, a vibrant and adventurous 21-year-old Canadian woman living in Sherwood Park, with three years of experience in child care. Although I've been working as a server at IHOP for over four years, I'm now determined to channel my love for activities, adventure, and connectivity in caring for children. I thrive on building relationships and cherish the connections I build whether at work or in my social circles. In my spare time, my love for cooking takes center stage. From trying new recipes to being creative in the kitchen, this passion brings me incredible joy. My travels in Thailand and South America have even inspired me to prepare authentic cultural dishes. Health and wellness are a priority for me, hence meal prepping and planning is integral to my routine. I also enjoy painting and often sold my artwork, displaying my dedication and discipline in tasks I undertake. I am available to work part-time during morning, midday, and evening hours from Monday through Friday with additional availability on Saturday and Sunday evenings. As a non-smoker, with a driver's license and my own vehicle, reliability and safety are certain with me. Additionally, I am comfortable working with children with disabilities, being able to cater for up to two children between the ages of 3 and 10+. Besides offering childcare, I am also able to assist with cooking, light housekeeping, running errands or grocery shopping, preparing meals for the kids, providing transport, and doing the children's laundry. While I am unable to relocate, I am open to some travel in the course of fulfilling my nanny duties. Given my strong affinity for learning and growth, coupled with my cultural awareness from my travels, I aim to provide a nurturing, creative, and health-conscious environment for the children I look after. Volunteered at Brightwood Ministry camp during the summer. Responsibilities included Developing individualized behavior management plans for campers with special needs. Providing guidance and support to ensure the safety of all campers in a variety of outdoor settings. Encouraging camper participation in recreational activities through enthusiastic leadership style. Facilitating group problem-solving discussions to build positive relationships among campers. Providing emotional support to campers dealing with homesickness or other issues related to being away from home. Engaging children in arts and crafts, singing, sports activities, games and field trips while maintaining a safe environment. I currently work as a server at IHOP restaurant, as of recently cut my hours to only Saturdays and Sundays 9am-3pm to seek out employment through childcare, something I am deeply passionate about. I have been working as a server since 2020. Through this job I have acquired very strong multitasking skills and have made meaningful connections with regular customers. I’ve babysat through most of my teen years for family friends and completed the babysitting course at age 12.
