My name is Lyric and I'm 20 years old. I am certified in First Aid Level C/AED and WHMIS 2015, and other certifications related to the aviation industry. These certifications have made me more knowledgeable about safety hazards and identification, and what to do in emergencies. I have 3 years of professional experience with kids, and specifically 2 of them with amazing foster kids. Working with foster children made me realize my passion for making kids happy. These two jobs have helped me gain skills such as interpersonal, communication, and attention to detail, like body language and facial expressions. I am open to babysitting/nannying part-time and live-out throughout the week and occasionally on weekends! Outside of working, my favourite activities to pass the time are hiking, photography, and playing instruments such as the saxophone, keyboard (piano), guitar, and singing. Music has always been a passion of mine.

I started babysitting at the age of 10, taking care of family friends' children. I was hired at 15 to work at an after-school program and gymnasium in my community with youth aged 5 and up. This job helped develop skills such as creating meaningful relationships with all the kids and ensuring the safety of up to 20 kids. In my next job, I worked with foster children aged 5-11 for 2 years. This job ignited my passion for working with kids and developed skills such as interpersonal, communication, and attention-to-details such as body language and facial expressions. Also, I have volunteered at the Old Town Ramble & Ride in Yellowknife supervising kids at the play area and splash park ensuring the safety of kids.
