Brooklyn A.
My name is Brooklyn, and I recently graduated from high school. I’m currently studying Psychology at the University of Winnipeg with the goal of becoming a psychiatrist because I’ve always been passionate about helping and supporting others. I absolutely love spending time with children and have been babysitting since I was 13 years old for families in my neighborhood. Over the years, I’ve gained experience caring for children of different ages and have worked with kids who have autism, ADHD, anxiety, and food allergies, which has taught me the importance of patience, understanding, and creating a safe, supportive environment. I love animals as well, I have 3 dogs! I also work in an office, and in my free time you’ll usually find me at the gym or focusing on my studies during the school year. I’m a responsible, dependable, and caring person who truly enjoys building positive relationships with children, and I’d love the opportunity to help care for your family.
I have been babysitting since I was 13 years old, caring for children between the ages of 1 and 9 in my local community. Throughout the years, I have gained experience working with infants, toddlers, and school-aged children, including children with autism, ADHD, anxiety, and food allergies. My responsibilities have included creating fun and engaging activities, preparing meals and snacks while following dietary restrictions, helping with bedtime routines, light housekeeping, driving children to activities when needed, and caring for family pets during babysitting jobs. I hold a Babysitting Certificate, along with a Lifeguard Certification and CPR training, which have given me the knowledge and confidence to respond calmly and safely in emergency situations. One of my greatest achievements has been earning the trust of families who continue to rely on me for dependable, compassionate, and attentive childcare, while providing a safe, positive, and nurturing environment for every child in my care.
