Hilary T.
I'm an active twenty-three year old student currently living in Coquitlam with my family. I love getting outside as much as I can, whether it's hiking, running, backpacking, camping, I'm all for it. My dad and our golden retriever Olive often accompany me on these adventures where we get to make great memories. Otherwise, I spend my time studying, reading, watching movies, or spending time with friends.
I have experience volunteering with NatureKids where I create and run events that supports kids and families to become more comfortable in the outdoors. I've facilitated events such as scavenger hunts, bird counting, and nature bathing (grounding exercises as we walked through the park). I also have experience creating and running training camps for the South Surrey White Rock Baseball Association where I planned out age appropriate drills and exercises for the kids, and then executed it over several weekends. Additionally, I have extensive experience babysitting kids from ages 2-12, and tutoring kids ages from 10-15.
I'm currently a third year student at UBC studying English Literature with hopes of continuing my education to the PDP program where I can pursue my goal of becoming a teacher.
