My name is Alex; I am 18 years old. I’ve volunteered in an elementary school classroom for the last six months. I plan on becoming a kindergarten teacher and I start college in September. I have always had an intense passion for childcare and a love for children. I live with my mother, father and younger sister in my free time. I write, hang out with friends and my sister. I’ve been helping watch my younger cousins since I was nine years old. I’ve volunteered before in a public library teaching younger children how to read. I currently volunteer four hours a week at a kindergarten/grade one split class where some students do have special needs. I have nannied before for a three year-old and a five year-old. I’m comfortable, staying with children for long amounts of time and with more than one child.
