I am Jen a Registered Midwife back home and i am currentlu working as a Caregiver for elderly here in Canada .I am working as a Care Aid for 2 years now and I also worked as na nanny for 10 years. My previous employment are: I worked in Singapore for 2 years as a Nanny, I took care of 3 kids, aged 5, 3, 1.5. Then I moved to Denmark I took care of 3 kids, 7, 6, newborn. And Lastly I moved to Canada as a live in caregiver same employer, I’ve been working with them for almost 5 years. When i came the kids aged were 3 years old and 9 months and the second girl is 4 months. Now they are 10 and 6 years old. My responsibilities as a Nanny is to supervised them, Making sure they are safe, I also bath them, prepare thier food and teach them. I also played with them, read and sing along together. And bringing them out for a walk and I make sure the kids are having fun. My responsibilities as a Care Aide are: Conduct client health checks Promoted client’s satisfaction by assisting with daily living needs, such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and exercising Tracked and reported clients progress based on observation and conversations Documented client’s charts and communicated status updates to interdisciplinary care team Documented client’s intake and dietary, assisted with feeding and monitoring Planned, prepared and served meals and snacks, according to the preferred diet Played games with the client’s to boost mood, improve memory and provide entertainment Comforted client’s and provide each reassurance and encouragement Assisted with adequate nutrition a I love taking care of kidsa d elderly, because it keeps me going.
