My name is Jaden, and I bring a rich background in both social services and education, supported by my Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English and Social Work. I grew up as the oldest of six, helping to care for my five younger sisters, which sparked my lifelong passion for working with children. This early experience naturally led me to start babysitting at a young age, and since then, I’ve built a diverse career fulfilling roles such as child support worker, mental health worker, disability support worker, guidance counsellor, substitute teacher, and educational assistant.
In addition to my professional experience, I’m deeply connected to nature and love spending time outdoors. Creativity is a big part of who I am—I enjoy writing stories and crafting unique projects. At home, I share my space with my lovely partner, Kyle, and my rescue kitty named Jinx, who keeps life interesting!
I believe in creating a nurturing and enriching environment for children to thrive, and I look forward to bringing my skills, creativity, and passion for caregiving to a family that values these attributes.
I have a lifelong passion for working with children, nurtured by my experience growing up with five younger sisters, whom I helped care for from an early age. This hands-on experience naturally led me to begin babysitting at a young age, where I developed a deep understanding of the needs and behaviors of children.
Professionally, I have built a diverse career in social services and education, where I have held various roles, each contributing to my well-rounded expertise in childcare. My contracted roles involve that of a Child Support Worker, Disability Support Worker, and Community Mental Health Worker. In these positions, I gained invaluable skills in providing compassionate care tailored to the unique needs of each child.
In my roles as a High School Guidance Counsellor and K-12 Substitute Teacher, I have supported students academically, emotionally, and socially, ensuring they were able to thrive in a safe and nurturing environment. Additionally, as an Casual Educational Assistant (EA), I have worked closely with children with diverse learning needs, helping them achieve their full potential.
My comprehensive background in both home-based and professional childcare (& youth) settings makes me uniquely qualified to provide exceptional care and support for your family. I am committed to creating a positive, enriching environment where children can grow, learn, and flourish.
