I'm Vanessa, a 31-year-old caring mother, looking to transition into professional childcare from my current career in drywall finishing. Having raised my own son, who has a syndrome affecting his speech and motor skills, I've become an expert in catering to the special needs of children with learning difficulties.
As a native bilingual speaker of English and French, I weave language learning into my day-to-day activities with my son, and extend the same approach with kids I supervise. I am available full-time or part-time throughout the week, from Monday to Friday.
With my passion for arts and crafts, your children will be engaged in various creative activities such as knitting, sewing, drawing, painting, writing, and even making jewelry and candles!
I believe learning with fun leads to a more in-depth understanding and better retention of activities.
In addition to childminding, my services also extend to cooking (I'm a vegetarian but I can prepare meals with meat as well), light housekeeping, helping with homework, pet care, and laundry among others.
Moreover, I'm ready to explore places if interest like the zoo, science museums or spray lakes in my safe car (Rav 4 2021). In driving kids on outings or to appointments, safety and punctuality are twin priorities for me. Of course, this would require you to have passes and other necessary permissions.
I strive to provide a supportive and loving environment while adjusting to each child’s individual needs.
While I cannot relocate, I assure my full commitment and dedication to your family. As a live-out nanny, I am willing to take on the responsibility of four or more children.
I am based in Cochrane. Having ten years of experience in handling children from various age groups and with different needs, I am hoping to begin this new chapter of my journey by the beginning of 23rd January 2024.
My nanny services extend to help children with disabilities, tying with my past experience with my son. I am ready to provide a police check upon request.

I'm the oldest of two families with 4 children (parents separated). From the age of 12 I looked after my brothers and sisters. Preparing breakfast, supper and making them do their schoolwork. I also babysat my cousins and other children along the way. Let me tell you, after babysitting two of your twin brothers .... You're ready for anything ahah!
I've also been the mother of a son with a rare syndrome for 2 years. His learning has been slowed down and unfortunately always will be. So I have to do my utmost for his learning, both in terms of language and motor skills.
