I’m patient, responsible, and enjoy working with kids. I like being a babysitter for kids over the age of 6 because at that age, they’re curious and ready to learn new things, which makes spending time with them fun and rewarding. I also enjoy tutoring because I love helping kids understand their schoolwork and gain confidence. Being both a babysitter and tutor allows me to support kids in different ways, making sure they’re safe, happy, and growing in their learning. I have over 6 years of experience cooking and baking at home, which has helped me develop a good understanding of preparing meals and treats. Additionally, I have 1 year of professional experience in cooking, so I’m confident in making nutritious and delicious food. This skill is great for babysitting because I can prepare snacks or meals for kids, making sure they’re well fed and happy while also keeping the environment safe and enjoyable. I have experience working as a tutor for Superprof, where I provided personalized academic support to students in various subjects. My role involved assessing each student's individual needs, creating tailored lesson plans, and helping them improve their understanding and skills. I focused on making learning engaging and clear, ensuring students gained confidence and achieved their academic goals. Through this experience, I made sure to keep them entertained with fun activities, helped with any homework or learning they had, and made sure they were safe and comfortable the whole time. I stayed attentive to their needs, whether it was snacks, breaks, or just some friendly conversation to keep them happy.

My name is Katelyn, a creative, organized, and active individual located in Pickering who is deeply fond of working with kids. I truly believe in nurturing children's learning and confidence through play while prioritizing their safety. As a mother myself to a 2.5-year-old child, I understand the importance of patience and adaptability when dealing with kids. I have around 3 years of professional working experience in child care. My journey in this field includes 5+ years of teaching dance to children ranging from 2-17 years of age at esteemed studios such as Groove School of Dance and engagements with TDSB for TDSB Creates. Both activities required a police vulnerable sector check to ensure the safety and well-being of children. In addition to this, I have facilitated various seasonal camps operating with the structure of a daycare and have experience of conducting dance classes at daycares with various unique and stimulating dance activities. As your nanny, I am reliable and punctual, always prepared to render service with passion and dedication. I am available for work full-time or part-time, from mornings, through the day, to evenings every weekday. Some responsibilities I am ready to take on include light housekeeping, tending the children's laundry, keeping the kitchen tidy, preparing meals for kids, transporting children, and helping with homework. I am also able to change daipers and bath children if necessary. I have substantial experience with a newborn and children of age up to 10 years, and am willing to handle a maximum of three children at a time. I have been trained in First Aid and CPR to promptly address any emergency situations that might arise. Please note, I am looking for opportunities to assist as a live-out nanny, babysitter, or even as a virtual babysitter for your convenience. I look forward to joining your family and creating a positive and stimulating environment for your children. I can start immediately. I am a mother of a 2.5 year old so I have plenty of experience with kids and setting up preschool activities to keep little ones engaged. I also have over 5+ years teaching children (age 2-17) dance, music, sports, gymnastics, as well as working as a camp counselor for the same age range mentioned above.

Nanny/Babysitter in Markham - Trexie S.

I’m Trexie, a passionate and caring professional with 6 years of experience working with children. At 25 years old, I bring a positive attitude, patience, creativity, and a genuine love for helping children learn, grow, and thrive. I am known for building strong, trusting relationships with both children and families while creating safe, engaging, and supportive environments. My strong communication skills, reliability, adaptability, and ability to connect with children of all ages allow me to foster meaningful experiences that encourage confidence, development, and joy. I am enthusiastic, compassionate, and dedicated to making a positive impact in every child’s life, bringing energy, warmth, and professionalism to everything I do. I have been in child care all my life. My mom was a nanny, and at the age of 14 years old, I was capable of taking care of children alongside my mom. Families that she used to work for allowed me to come along to help with the children. This was the start of my love for children. Going into College, I was 18 years old, I studied Psychology at York University for two years, but I wasn’t in love with it. So while I was in school, I looked into ways I could work with children. During a career day, I found this booth that was offering a volunteer position at an Autism Centre. So I volunteered for about 6 months. I loved it. It was an amazing experience. It was here that I learned how much I wanted to learn about children, and possibly work with children on the spectrum. So I left school, and I transferred to Seneca College to study Child Development. I gained experience in every classroom, working with all ages - Infants, Toddlers, Pre-school, Kindergarten, and School Age. I finished three years at Seneca, and ran into some personal issues, and left school to work. Because of my extensive placement experience from school, I was able to get a job at Discovery Preschool as an Assistant ECE. I was hired specifically to work closely with two children on the spectrum in the Toddler Classroom. I worked here for a year, and when I got a second job, I remained a part timer, supplying when I had free time. I then got a job contract for 4 months at Faith Infant and Early Education Centre. I was hired to be the ECEA in the Infant Classroom. The centre enjoyed having me as an Infant Teacher at their centre, so they offered me a full time spot after my 4 month contract. It was at this centre, that I learned the most about child care and child development. I’ve been able to work with children on the spectrum, and learned about the early stages and signs to look for in the infant years. I worked at this centre from April 2025 - present. I am currently set to leave my position - with my last day being June 12, 2026, to explore new and creative ways I can work with children. From my experience in working in classrooms, I noticed how much I enjoy working closely with children in a 1-1 setting. I prefer to work with up to 3 children at a time, but really enjoy 1-1, so I can focus on the child’s development and really get to know the child. Building a relationship with children is the most important thing for me, aside from their development, I really love to get to know their personalities, what makes them unique, what makes them happy, what they do and don’t like. I really love children. This led me to this platform, hoping to find families that need help and are in need of extra care for their children. I have a special place in my heart for childcare and child development, and would love the opportunity to help children and their families.
