Hello. I have been nannying for 15 years. I am a 33 year old female, graduating with a linguistics/psychology degree in 2018 through distance education. I speak English fluently, have a moderate to good understanding of Spanish as well as a some French. When I was 18 years old I obtained my Emergency Medical Responder certificate and worked as a second level medic in Alberta for two years, as well as worked with the University of Manitoba children's camp as their Risk Management Supervisor. I have volunteered for many years as a youth soccer coach and enjoy most outdoor sports and activities such as soccer, snowboarding, hiking, biking, swimming and so on. I have completed many years of swimming lessons with the children I have nannied and feel very confident in my abilities in the water. I love to read and write, and firmly believe in providing a creative yet structured atmosphere for children to grow in. I am very good at working with parents to learn their rules and household order, as well as implementing said rules while still being kind, calm and loving. I am a firm believer in showing respect and appreciation to everyone around you, which includes using manners and teaching patience and perspective. I have also worked the past few years as respite with autistic children and have an in depth understanding of the patience and guidance needed to work with special needs children. I have my drivers license and have taken the First-Aid/CPR course more times than I can count (and would be willing to take it again if asked). I am a non smoker. I am very organized and love to help with household organization to make things smoother, easier and tidy. I am an excellent cook and enjoy healthy eating and trying new recipes. Any questions? Please feel free to ask.
I have been nannying for over 10 years, 8 of which were with the same family that I am still very close with now that their children are grown. I have volunteered for many years as a youth soccer coach, as well as completed many years of swimming lessons with the children I have nannied and feel very confident in my abilities in the water.
