I am looking to do something different with my life and be able to work with children and families again. What I would like to find is a family to work for as a caregiver/ nanny role for many years. What makes me different from others is my 20 years of working with special needs children and youth that has given me the skills required to enjoy kids and making a difference. I really enjoy kids and it brings out the best in me as a person. Believe it or not I enjoy cooking and especially baking, laundry and vacuuming. I can be firm and fair when needed and am trust worthy, honest, down to earth, reliable etc. I am also very nurturing, caring and kind hearted. As a person I am very patient, laid back, easy going and understanding when it comes to kids. I believe you have to a certain type of person when working with kids. Over the years I have enjoyed coaching baseball, doing one to one support and respite care seeing the difference you make. My hobbies include sports, walks, drives, old cars, movies, outdoors etc. I also enjoy board games, ready to kids, nature, riding a bike, baking, coaching baseball, watching hockey. So you might ask why someone like me wants to become a caregiver/ nanny. Well for me it is because I want to enjoy life, help and to give to others by being part of a family. I can't have kids of my own and the best way to give back is to join a family so the kids have the best up bringing. I have a lot of skills to offer to teach and give back.
