Kristine S.
I’m someone who really values presence, creativity, and meaningful connection. I love being outside! Paddleboarding, hiking, swimming..you name it! You can also find me wandering through the farmers market with a coffee in hand. I’m always up for dog-sitting (huge animal lover over here). I’m also super into all things creative! Writing, painting, pottery, anything hands-on that lets me express myself. My favourite place I’ve travelled to is the Galápagos Islands, it was such a surreal, beautiful experience. I speak French (though I’m a little rusty!). I’m also an ENTJ and Enneagram 3, which means I’m grounded, reliable, and always looking for ways to grow and support others.
I began my childcare journey at 13 after earning my babysitter's license. Growing up in Ottawa, I regularly cared for children of family friends—changing diapers, preparing snacks, putting the kids to bed, and spending active time with them at local parks. I continued babysitting throughout high school and developed a strong sense of responsibility, communication, and care. While studying Human Kinetics at the University of Guelph, I worked with a family of four children, ranging in age from 6 to 15. My responsibilities included helping with homework, driving them to and from appointments, preparing meals, and supporting the evening routine before their mom came home. I’ve cared for children as young as 6 months old and up to 15 years old, and I genuinely enjoy supporting families through all ages and stages. After university, I shifted into youth coaching, running strength and conditioning programs and personal training for children (ages 7 and 16). These experiences deepened my understanding of child development, physical literacy, and how to create supportive, encouraging environments. Currently, I run Well Within Studio, where I work with individuals on emotional regulation, nervous system support, and holistic wellness. This work has enriched the way I care for children. I bring calm energy, attunement, and an understanding of how to help little ones feel safe and supported in their bodies and environments. I’m confident, nurturing, and able to adapt to a variety of needs and family routines. I truly value building trust with both parents and children alike.
