Jasmine A.
Currently, I’m pursuing an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree at Laurier University with the goal of becoming a teacher. My academic and practical experiences have honed my ability to plan and execute detailed program schedules, like the 8-hour daily plans I created for a 7-week summer camp this past season. I am passionate about working with children and pride myself on being patient, gentle, and kind. Whether I’m bringing energy and fun to activities or providing a serious and supportive environment when needed, I strive to be both a great friend and a strong leader. I look forward to bringing my enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication to any opportunity where I can make a positive impact on young lives.
My name is Jasmin, and I bring over three years of professional experience as a Recreational Leader, complemented by years of informal babysitting since I was 12. My journey in child care began early, supporting friends, family, and neighbors, which naturally led to a dedicated role as a Senior Leader at summer camps and various recreational programs. In this capacity, I’ve had the privilege of working with children aged 4 to 12, as well as toddlers, including those with ADHD, autism, ADD, and other behavioral challenges. I hold a High Five certification from Ontario, ensuring I am well-versed in running engaging and safe programs for kids. Additionally, I have First Aid/CPR-C and Safety Food Handling certifications, which enable me to provide comprehensive care, including diaper changes, feeding, bathing, cooking, and cleaning.
