I have 26 years of healthcare/ caregiving. This varied from EMS, hospital emergency, post surg, palliative, long term Care, geriatrics, private sector homecare and 1 year of overseas volunteering as a Field Medic with the International Red Cross. I am divorced, a mother of 2 adult children ( 26 & 23) and very active with my family and friends.

I raised my 2 children as a single mother. In my employment history, I provided medical care to children and families in refugee camps all across Libya/ Tunisia with the International Red Cross. I was the primary caregiver to a young boy who suffered a severe anoxic brain injury and had complex medical needs. I, myself, lost an infant with hypo-plastic left heart syndrome and this experience has added to my ability to give compassionate care to families and children with special needs.
