My name is Harley-June and I've been working with kids since I graduated High School! After taking a break to decide what I wanted to do for school, I started working/coaching for my Dad's basketball club! From there, I found out that I love working with kids! Anywhere from 5-16, I've worked with, but I mainly coach/look after the younger kids in the program. I'm a very creative person, I value self expression and using your imagination to make what you love come to life. I believe physical activity is so important too, as a coach I have learned a lot of skills and fun games to get kids moving. I love art and music, I have a very creative mind, and I love being able to be a positive impact in a child's life. I believe everyone deserves to have fun and be loved, and I cannot wait to begin my journey into child care!

I put three years down because that's when I started my job as a Children's Program Director, but really I've been surrounded by babysitting opportunities my whole life! I have so many cousins and as one of the oldest, I would be tasked to watch them and entertain them all the time! But, I'm also the Program Director for Respect Basketball's Rookie Program. In this position, I schedule and layout practice plans, research new fun drills that I can implement into practices, manage the coaches under me and assign them weekly positions, communicate with the children's parents about their development, and teach 5-10 year olds the basic fundamental skills of basketball! I act as the main coach of the group so I do a lot of hands on work with the kids and have found I really do love working with them, I've been told by many parents and higher ups that I handle the kids really well. I also coach a U13 boys team (11-13 year olds) where I use very similar skills for that older age group. This work will not interfere with my ability to babysit as it's primarily volunteer, and I have a fairly flexible schedule that I'll be able to communicate in advance!
