Uchechi A.
My name is Uche, and I’m a nurturing, responsible, and enthusiastic nanny with a strong background in both professional and family-based childcare. I come from a large family, being the last of five siblings, so caring for children, especially my many nieces and nephews, has been a meaningful part of my life for as long as I can remember. I currently live in Calgary and have hands-on experience working with families through Kiid Concierge, where I’ve cared for children between the ages of 2 and 10. I’m certified in First Aid, CPR & AED, BLS Support and I hold a valid police check with vulnerable sector screening. Whether it’s supporting bedtime routines, engaging in interactive play, or keeping little ones safe during outdoor adventures, I bring patience, empathy, and joy to every moment. Outside of childcare, I love tutoring, storytelling, cooking, music, and crafting simple, fun activities that keep kids engaged and learning. I’m also highly adaptable, calm under pressure, and attentive to each child’s emotional and developmental needs. Parents often describe me as dependable, cheerful, and naturally good with kids, and I pride myself on creating a warm, trusting environment where children feel secure, seen, and celebrated.
I bring extensive childcare experience gained both professionally and within my family. As a trusted babysitter with Kiid Concierge in Calgary, I’ve provided care for 3 children at a time, supporting bedtime routines, engaging play, and safety-focused supervision. Prior to that, I regularly cared for up to five nieces and nephews, ranging from newborns to age 10, handling everything from feeding and hygiene to early learning activities. My ability to connect with children of different ages, manage high-energy environments, and maintain calm under pressure has earned me the trust of parents and repeat requests. I am certified in First Aid, CPR & AED and have completed a vulnerable sector police check.
