Josie T.
My name is Josie and I am a 1st year college student working towards my Early Childhood Education and Development certificate. My dream for the future is to work with children during their early developmental stages of mental health. I find joy not only in taking care of younger children, but also in getting to know them and playing with them. I am outgoing, respectful, and kind. I was born in Calgary and raised by a single mother and an older sister. I have been babysitting for approximately four years for various families. Through doing what I love, I have established relationships and built connections with different families . I believe children teach us and remind us to be better people; it is an environment I want to be part of. Additionally, I have experience in house and animal care and am comfortable taking care of cats and dogs as well as houses. I am capable of cooking and cleaning, and possess an abundance of patience and empathy. Depending on the family rules and the personalities of the children, some activities I have learned that create a fun environment include baking with them, going to the park or on walks, building forts, playing board games, making up games with them, and much more. I would love the opportunity to share more about myself and am always 100% open to discussing more to make you feel comfortable.
I’ve been babysitting since I was 13. Children that I know personally and ones that I didn’t and still have gotten along amazingly with all. I’ve never worn care of maximum three children at a time.
