I’m a reliable and compassionate caregiver with a background in behavioral therapy, special needs support, and child development. I hold a Therapy Assistant diploma and have experience working as a Behaviour Interventionist, Educational Assistant, and in long-term care. I’m currently completing my degree in Community Rehabilitation at the University of Calgary. I grew up in the Yukon and have spent much of my life outdoors—I have a strong knowledge of nature, outdoor safety, and love planning activities that get kids outside and exploring. I also have a passion for creative projects like arts and crafts, and enjoy incorporating hands-on, imaginative play into daily routines.

I’m currently looking to transition from my current job into private work, so my start date may be a couple of weeks out. I will also be away from August 14th to 24th, and from September to April, I’ll be available part-time. My previous experience includes supporting children with autism and developmental disabilities as a Behaviour Interventionist, and working as an Educational Assistant in a multi-needs classroom where I supported communication, sensory, and behavioral needs. I’ve also worked as a Rehab Assistant in long-term care, helping with daily living tasks and therapy programs. I’ve supervised 1–4 children at a time, providing personal care, behavior support, and structured routines. I’ve led activities at kids’ horse camps and art camps, and I enjoy incorporating outdoor play, creativity, and sensory-based learning into my work. I’m certified in First Aid and behavior strategies, hold a Therapy Assistant Diploma, and am currently completing my degree in Community Rehabilitation. I’m calm, reliable, and passionate about creating engaging, supportive environments for children of all ages. My starting wage is $25/hour, which reflects my training, experience, and commitment to quality care.
