Ella R.
My name is Ella-. I’m a nursing student at Lakehead University, originally from Calgary, and I'm spending the summer back home. I come from a close-knit family and have always loved working with children and seniors. I have several years of experience babysitting children of all different ages, as well as professional caregiving experience through my work as a Personal Support Worker in a long-term care home. I’m passionate about providing compassionate, safe, and engaging care. In my free time, I love hanging out with friends, hiking, playing sports, and spending time with my family. I'm reliable, patient, and great at keeping kids active and entertained while creating a safe and supportive environment. I truly enjoy building connections with the families I work with and making each day fun and meaningful.
Over the past several years, I have worked as a babysitter, caring for children of various ages. I also worked as a Personal Support Worker at Hogarth Riverview Manor in Thunder Bay while attending school, where I assisted residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, feeding, and providing emotional support. In addition, I have several years of hands-on caregiving experience supporting my Great Aunt Bernie, helping with daily tasks, offering companionship, and encouraging participation in social and recreational activities. I also worked as a Sports Camp Leader for four summers at Rockin Rings in Calgary, managing groups of 50–60 children, ensuring their safety, planning activities, and creating a fun, engaging environment.
