I am an honest, hardworking, and reliable individual with 20+ years of experience as both a mother and a mother's helper. I love children, my greatest regret is that I only had one. As my son was born with cognitive and developmental delays I have considerable experience working with children with learning/behavioral disabilities and a deep understanding of the complexities that may arise when parenting a neurodivergent child. My personal journey as a mother of a neurodivergent child has fostered my skills in occupational and speech therapy, behavior management as well as understanding the complexities of dietary restrictions. I am comfortable working with children of all ages - from newborn to over 10 years. I enjoy baking and canning. I love crafting, reading, music, and art; I believe that no greater joy can be found than awakening the curiosity and wonder of a child to any and all of these activities. I am very methodical and organized with particular attention to detail - something that I would bring to your home. I love cleaning and have experience as a professional cleaner; there is such a feeling of pride and satisfaction at seeing a job well done and making order out of chaos. I grew up on a farm and am comfortable working with animals of all shapes and sizes. I have a degree in nutrition and, until recently, worked as an administrative professional in the agriculture industry. I have reached the point in my life where I would like to take a step back from the corporate world and find something more meaningful. As a single parent, I know the stress and strain of juggling a home, family, and career and would love the opportunity to make yours a little smoother. I see myself as an integral part of your family, a kind of surrogate grandmother. With my heightened interest in being a mother's helper, special needs caregiver, or a nanny/housekeeper, I can assure the best care for your children and household. I am available early morning, late afternoons and evening and overnight. I have full time availability on the weekends. I am incredibly comfortable with travelling as required, possess a driving license and have a personal vehicle. With personal preference for live-out arrangements, I am lwilling to work full-time or part-time based on your needs. My duties can be wide-ranged to ensure smooth functioning of your household, including but not restricted to light housekeeping, grocery shopping, meal preparations for the kids, child transportation, helping with homework, adhering to special dietary rules, pet care, organizing events, cleaning entire house, etc. Possess level C CPR and First aid and can provide clean driving abstract (10 years), criminal record/background check, vunerable sector check and references.
