My name is Kate, and I am a dedicated and enthusiastic high school student currently attending Bishop Carroll High School. This self-directed learning environment has honed my skills in time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving, making me a reliable and proactive individual. With six years of babysitting experience and eight years of caring for my younger sister, I have developed a strong foundation in providing attentive and compassionate care for children of various ages. My role as a babysitter and child care provider since June 2019 has been incredibly rewarding, allowing me to ensure children’s safety, create structured daily routines, and foster their development through engaging activities. In addition to my babysitting experience, I have worked as a barista at Sauce Italian Kitchen & Market, where I excelled in customer service, cash handling, and multitasking in a fast-paced setting. My experience as an event decorator and designer with Chair Flair allowed me to develop my creativity and attention to detail, managing projects and client communications effectively. Furthermore, my volunteer work as a skills camp instructor for the South Calgary Ringette Association and National Ringette School has further developed my leadership and instructional abilities.
