Maggie Y.
Hello! My name is Maggie, and I am a Chinese-Canadian educator with a passion for supporting children’s growth and learning. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Education, both from the University of British Columbia, and I am a BC Certified K-12 teacher currently working in the public school system. With over a decade of experience working with children in various capacities—including coaching, babysitting, tutoring, program leadership, and summer camp staff/director roles—I’ve developed a versatile skill set to support learners in diverse environments. In addition to being fluent in English and Cantonese, I enjoy playing sports, spending time outdoors, and reading. These interests often inspire creative ways to connect with children and make learning enjoyable. If you think I would be a good fit for your family, I’d love to hear from you! I’m happy to provide documentation to verify my qualifications and experience upon request. I look forward to connecting with you soon!
