Jen K.
My name is Jen, and I am currently a second-year Chemical and Biological Engineering student at the University of British Columbia. Here are a few things about me: 1. Experienced working with children I have several years of experience working with children through tutoring and teaching. As a STEM tutor, I worked one-on-one with students in math, physics, chemistry, and introductory programming, creating personalized lesson plans and helping them build confidence. I also worked as a teaching assistant at a Korean Language School, where I supported over 40 students through engaging activities and individualized guidance. 2. Patient, responsible, and dependable I enjoy creating a safe, positive, and supportive environment where children can learn and have fun. Whether it's helping with homework, doing crafts, playing games, or spending time outdoors, I always strive to make every child feel encouraged and cared for. In my free time, I enjoy baking, reading, staying active, and trying new recipes. 3. Diverse and multilingual I am an international student from South Korea and also speak Spanish. I enjoy learning about different cultures and languages, and I love connecting with families from all backgrounds. I would love the opportunity to provide a safe, caring, and fun environment for your family, and I look forward to getting to know you and your children!
