I'm Xiaochen, an Animation Design major at EMILYCARR University, with a deep-rooted passion for children and pets. Ever since I was young, I've had a dream of making a positive impact on children's lives, and even though I took a slight diversion to follow my talent in animation, that dream remains unchanged. One of the ways I love engaging with children is by teaching them how to draw and helping them with their homework — this not only ignites their creativity, but also helps them to better understand and love their school work. Apart from drawing, I also love cooking and know my way around the kitchen. Whether it is making simple children-friendly meals or preparing elaborate dishes, I can do it all! This also extends to baking treats and desserts - I remember making delightful treats for my mom since my childhood for special occasions. Moreover, having raised a King Charles Spaniel and a Pomeranian, I have ample experience in pet care, especially dogs. Whether it's walking them or caring for them, I guarantee they will be in good hands. Let's talk about my personality - I am friendly, warm-hearted, and dependable. The words hard-working and self-motivated best describe me, and I'm also known for my excellent communication skills and sense of humor. Although I don't have formal years of work experience, my enthusiasm, caring nature, and eagerness to make a positive impact are traits that more than compensate for this. I am industrious and focused and can offer services such as light housekeeping, running errands, grocery shopping, and more. I can also help bathe and dress children. My schedule is flexible on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sunday evenings, making myself available for part-time work. However, please note that I'm preferably looking for a live-out arrangement. It is also relevant to mention that I have got Emergency Childcare First Aid. I am capable of engaging and looking after two kids in the age group of 3-9 years.
