Alexa B.
My name is Alexa. My journey through life over the last 15 years has been wholeheartedly devoted to the role of a full-time mom, a role that I cherish deeply. My days have been filled with the joy and challenges of raising two beautiful boys, who are currently 14 and 4 years old with autism. Alongside my journey as a mother, I have been pursuing my passion in healthcare. I am currently on the brink of completing my course and graduating as a Health Care Assistant, or HCA. This is something that I have dedicated my time and energy towards and I am looking forward to seeing the fruit of my labor. Looking forward into April, I’m massively anticipating to complete my practicum at a long-term care facility, the final step in my journey before acquiring my British Columbia Health Care Assistant registry. This practicum is much anticipated for me as it is the stepping stone towards achieving my dream and it would allow me to implement all that I have learned during my course into real-life practical situations. I am thrilled at the very thought of harnessing my newly acquired skills in a real-world setting where I can make a significant impact. I greatly value the opportunity to gain hands-on experience providing compassionate, patient-focused care to those who need it most. Upon successfully completing my practicum and receiving my registry, my exhaustive efforts would finally yield fruits and I eagerly anticipate diving headfirst into exploring the myriad job opportunities that will come my way in this field. I am especially excited about the prospect of working in long-term care, an area where I believe I can make the most meaningful difference.
Currently, I am doing my practicum as a care aide.
