My name is Dherlyn. I am Filipino. I can’t change my birthdate but I am 24 years old, LOL. To start off, I've never really had a paying job related to being a nanny, but I have all the experience I need to take care of a child and give you the extra hands you need. A little bit about me: I came to Canada when I was 14 and my mom was pregnant at the time. She gave birth to my brother, and I have been tending to him, as well as my mom, since day 1 up until now. I've always watched and supported my brother as he has grown; he is now 11 years old. Fun fact: His first word was "ate, " which means older sister in Tagalog, not mom. 😆 Other than that, I have always been surrounded by kids. We have lots of relatives and family friends here in BC, and almost every weekend we have gatherings where I watch over them. There are usually at least 5 kids, although not as many anymore because they're all growing up. I would still prepare games for them to play. I also have a newborn nephew who is just 2 months old, and I help my cousin every time they come over so she can take a breather, even for a bit. In terms of my occupation background, I've been an extinguisher service technician for the past 5 years and recently quit my job to study nursing in September.
