I am a young Grandma! I grew up in Europe, speak English, French and Italian. I am great at getting children interested in projects, crafts, doing homework and cleaning their rooms! I have a small, friendly dog, 2 cats and live in Bronte. I am single but surrounded by friends of all ages. I believe that children benefit from seeing the world around them, learning about nature and getting dirty. Children are washable, as are grandmas! I had a Handyma'am business for many years so am very handy around the house and can repair pretty much anything. I can relax and enjoy the quiet as much as going out and being in a crowd. We live in a wonderful place and our children are our entry into the wonders of it. I am a young grandma. I do not have any specific education in childcare but apart from having had 2 stepchildren and my own daughter, my home has always been the hub where children, teens, young adults, and, lets face it, adults gathered - whether my children were home or not! I now have two grandsons and am thoroughly enjoying watching them grow up and do go to visit a couple times a year - unfortunately they live in Saskatoon! I am a calming influence on children and they seem to listen to me and want to snuggle up when I read to them. I am inventive with playtime and soothing at bedtime. Teenagers might even grudgingly speak to me! LOL . If you need a loving grandma who still has the energy to play, help with homework, explain the universe (gulp!) and love - that's me.

I am currently interested in child care as I am getting a degree in child and youth studies, I am focused on my studies and I grew up and live in Hamilton Ontario.
