Adrianna S.
I am a 23-year-old Canadian childcare provider with over eight years of hands-on experience caring for children from infants through school ages. I am passionate about working with children and take great pride in creating a safe, nurturing, and positive environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive. I recently graduated from Seneca College’s Emergency Services program with High Honours, maintaining a 4.0 GPA and becoming a 3x honour award recipient throughout my studies. My education has provided me with extensive training in emergency response, first aid, CPR, fire services, EMS, and policing, giving me the skills and confidence to remain calm, responsible, and prepared in any situation. I believe these qualifications are especially valuable when caring for children, as safety is always my top priority. I am a patient, dependable, and compassionate person who genuinely enjoys helping children reach developmental milestones, build confidence, and explore the world around them. I believe in encouraging learning through play, reading, creative activities, outdoor time, and age-appropriate educational experiences. Building strong, trusting relationships with both children and parents is very important to me. Outside of childcare, I enjoy reading, painting, and going for walks. Painting is one of my favorite hobbies, and I love incorporating creativity, arts and crafts, and imaginative activities into my time with children. I am also highly organized, responsible, and comfortable assisting with meal preparation, laundry, dishes, and housekeeping when needed. Families describe me as caring, trustworthy, reliable, attentive, and hardworking. I am committed to providing children with the support, encouragement, and care they need to feel happy, secure, and valued every day. I understand that parents are trusting me with what matters most to them, and I take that responsibility very seriously.
I have over eight years of childcare experience caring for children ranging from newborns to school-aged children. From 2022 to 2025, I worked as a live-in childcare provider for a family in Milton, caring for two children simultaneously (a newborn girl and a two-year-old boy). In this role, I was responsible for all aspects of their daily care, including feeding, diaper changes, bathing, dressing, nap and bedtime routines, meal preparation, educational activities, outdoor play, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. Caring for both an infant and a toddler at the same time required strong organizational skills, patience, and the ability to meet the unique developmental needs of each child. I also assisted with household duties such as laundry, washing dishes, tidying children’s areas, and general housekeeping. I remained with the family for three years until they relocated to London, Ontario. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2022, I worked as a live-out childcare provider for a child in Brampton. I began caring for her when she was three years old and continued until she was school-aged. My responsibilities included preparing meals, assisting with personal care, creating educational activities focused on reading, writing, and early math skills, and planning engaging indoor and outdoor activities. Once she began school, I managed her morning routine, school drop-offs and pick-ups, homework assistance, and evening routines. I also performed household tasks including cleaning, laundry, dishwashing, and maintaining an organized home. I left this position when the child’s mother began maternity leave and no longer required full-time childcare support. I am passionate about providing attentive, patient, and dependable care while helping children learn, grow, and feel supported. I believe in creating a safe, structured, and positive environment where children can develop confidence, independence, and important life skills.
