Hillary C.
I’m an Education major with experience as a Long-Term Occasional Teacher with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB). I’ve worked with children in both classroom and childcare settings, supporting learning, routines, and positive behavior in a way that’s structured, caring, and engaging. I’m certified in First Aid and CPR, have completed two parenting courses, and hold a current Vulnerable Sector Check. I’ve also worked as a senior summer camp counsellor and as a basketball coach, so I’m very comfortable keeping kids active, motivated, and having fun while still maintaining clear expectations and safety. Families describe me as patient, upbeat, and reliable. I love creating a positive environment where kids feel supported, confident, and excited to learn. Outside of work and school, I enjoy staying active, being creative, and working with children in ways that build both skills and self-esteem. I’m passionate about childcare and education, and I take pride in being someone families can truly trust.

I have also completed two parenting courses and hold current First Aid and CPR certification, along with a valid Vulnerable Sector Check. In addition, I have worked as a senior summer camp counsellor and as a basketball coach, supporting children’s physical, social, and emotional development.
