My name is Yana, a 17-year-old lady based in Edmonton. I am the eldest daughter in my family and have always taken care of my two younger sisters, especially helping my youngest sister, she is 9 years younger that me. This experience has deepened my love for children, and I dream of working with them in the future. Currently, I live with a family that has two young children (aged 2 and 5), and I often care for them. We enjoy going to the playground, drawing, making crafts, and doing other fun activities together. My ability to adapt easily to new situations helps me connect well with children and families.
I also volunteered as an assistant camp counselor at a day camp, where I was responsible for a group of 12 girls aged 5-7. We had a wonderful time together, and the girls became very fond of me. They even made me friendship bracelets as a token of their appreciation, which was truly heartwarming.
I’d prefer a live-out, part-time arrangement, considering my ability to manage a maximum of three children. My availability stretches across the week from Mondays to Sundays, primarily in the midday and evening periods. Saturday mornings are also available. Unfortunately, I am not open for relocation, nor am I able to travel as I lack a driver’s license and don’t own a vehicle.
When it comes to household duties, I’m ready to handle tasks like bathing and dressing children, ironing children’s clothing, doing the children’s laundry, preparing meals, running errands, and light housekeeping. I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty in keeping the entire house clean or walking the dog.
In terms of experience with children of different age groups, from newborns to those over 10 years, I am comfortable and able in all scenarios. I am proficient in English, German, Russian, and Ukrainian, which allows me to communicate effectively with families from diverse backgrounds.
Although I don’t have any professional experience yet, I am eager to start nurturing and caring for children as a nanny, babysitter, mother’s helper, home daycare provider, or nanny/housekeeper. My education concludes at a high school level, and although I have not received a police check, I can assure you that my intentions are pure.
Despite being a non-smoker and a proficient swimmer, I regret to inform you that I am unable to work with children with disabilities. Looking forward to taking care of your little ones soon.
