I am a 28-year-old from Scotland, currently living in Ajax. I possess a great passion for working with children, keen on catering to their every need. I pride myself on maintaining a calm demeanor when I am around children. After all, they are just learning to navigate the world. I find joy in teaching and explaining how things work and why we carry out certain actions. I earned my degree in art and design, with a focus on child development through creative outlets in my thesis. Over the past decade, I have gained significant experience working with children of all ages. I hail from a large family — meaning lots of kids! I was oftentimes assigned as the designated babysitter during my teenage years. This sparked my interest in child development and in examining our daily interactions with children. Fueled by this enthusiasm, I began to conduct my own art classes. This enabled me to keep the children stimulated and occupied while fostering key skills. As a childcare professional I understand the importance of creativity and self expression. I graduated in Scotland with my Honours Degree in Creative Arts, if we work together you can expect your child/ children to be creative every day! I have experience babysitting for 10+ years, starting out with my nieces and nephews. During my studies I went on to explore learning through the creative arts and facilitated art classes for all ages. I moved to Canada in 2019 from Scotland, UK and began working as an Educational Assistant in a daycare setting. Currently I work as a Behaviour Therapist helping children with ASD.
