I’m Li! I’m 19 years old and live in Ajax. As a third-year student at the University of Toronto, I am pursuing a double major in Women’s and Gender Studies and English Literature. I attended a Francophone high school, so I’m fluent in both English and French. I love working with children and have a wide range of childcare experience, including being a camp counsellor, tutor, and educational assistant. My background has made me skilled at communicating, supervising, and teaching children of various ages and abilities—including neurodivergent kids—and I always strive to foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment. I am passionate about supporting and empowering young people and am comfortable planning fun activities, helping with homework, and ensuring routines run smoothly. I currently have full availability, though my schedule will change in September due to my studies. I am happy to provide or update any necessary documents, such as a background check or CPR certification. In my free time, I enjoy reading, creative writing, and spending time outdoors. I’ve volunteered as a counsellor in training at Act One School of Drama, supervising and leading activities for students ages 5-13, including script writing, organizing costumes, and planning play structures. As a camp counsellor at Bayview Heights and Ronald Marion Public Schools, I supervised children ages 4-12 during day camps and field trips, organized games, managed attendance, and handled cleaning tasks. As a tutor at Ronald Marion, I assisted grade 7 and 8 students with English, French, geography, and history, helping them understand concepts and improve their assignments. Most recently, as an educational assistant at French 4 Tots Montessori, I supervised and supported students ages 5-12 in various subjects and prepared educational activities.
