Claire J.
Hi there! My name is Claire Jane. I was born and raised in Alberta, but recently moved to Vancouver Island University for the school year to pursue an Engineering degree and play on their top-ranked basketball team. I see myself as a huge people person, not only because I am extroverted and enthusiastic, but also because I can find common ground and connect with people quickly, especially with young people. My wide range of hobbies certainly aids in this. Is your child artsy? Great! I am a painter myself and have been crafting all my life. I always have a project in hand for us to work on. If your child has ADHD or is on the spectrum, that's perfectly fine! I have ample experience with neurodiverse individuals and I am one myself. I'll take the time to listen to his/her hyperfixations (who knows, maybe we will find common ground) and I know how to be patient and pay attention to whether they're overwhelmed. Is your child into sports? I am too! Let's play football, soccer, hockey- you name it, I'm game! A gamer, you say? I am literally one myself! Rest assured that while you're away, we will have a blast playing Fortnite. Does your child need a little help with homework? No problem! I earned grades in the high 90s in high school and took all 3 sciences. In addition, I have four years of tutoring experience under my belt. I'll take the time to understand your child's learning style in order to ensure their long-term success! In conclusion, I can do it all. If you need someone who is multifaceted, interesting, enthusiastic, and above all, organized and responsible with a 4.33 GPA, I'm your gal!
