Alexis S.
I am a very family-oriented person who has always had a strong connection with children. I have helped raise and care for thirteen younger cousins, gaining hands-on experience from a young age in supporting children’s daily needs, development, and well-being. Over the years, I have been involved in a wide range of childcare settings, including STEM programs, volunteer groups, festivals, and community events. My roles have included supervising children, providing first aid, organizing activities, face painting, and supporting food and beverage services. I have also taken on leadership responsibilities such as coordinating volunteers and helping host community and recreation centers. Additionally, I have experience working in educational environments, including guiding children at the zoo where I supported learning in group settings ranging from one-on-one interactions to groups as large as 38 children, always maintaining appropriate safety ratios. Alongside my childcare experience, I have many years of babysitting and have worked at Apple Barn, where I regularly interacted with families and children in a fast-paced environment. I am confident in supporting routines such as meals, walking, rest, clothing, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. I am in a long-term, committed relationship with my partner, whom I have known since we were eight years old and have been best friends with for many years. This has helped shape my values of loyalty, stability, and strong communication. In my personal time, I enjoy driving, painting, and engaging in creative activities. I love animals and am very comfortable around pets. I also have a strong passion for cooking and take pride in creating meals for others. I genuinely love working with children and feel passionate about supporting the next generation as they grow, learn, and experience the world with curiosity, hope, and wonder.
