Job Description We are looking for a childcare provider to take care of our child who has a clinical delayed speech and assist parents and a child in meeting the needs of the treatment. Address and Work location: Westmount, QC, H3Z 1B7 Title Private Home Child Care Provider Duties: • Supervise and care for a child at our residence. • Plan and oversee the child’s activities as instructed. • Bring the child to appointments with the speech therapist and oversee the child’s speech exercises as instructed. • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding the child • Prepare and serve meals for the child • Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents • Create and ensure a safe environment at our residence. • Prepare child for rest periods • Organize activities such as games and outings for the child. • Maintain the house clean as needed. • Other related tasks. Required Skills • Have completed a secondary school diploma attesting at least 11 years of full-time elementary and secondary education or • have successfully completed, in this field of employment, full-time vocational training of at least 6 months in a vocational school OR • 1 year of continuous paid full-time experience as a caregiver, including at least 6 consecutive months with same employer Qualifications: • Be reliable and punctual • Show initiative • Have good judgement • Have excellent organizational skills Language Requirement: Knowledge of English (oral) Employment conditions, salary and hours Salary of $19.00 an hour for 30 hours per week Monday – Friday from 12:30 pm to 6:30 pm Social Advantages: • 10 days of vacation per year as per Quebec .
