Live-in Nanny/Housekeeper
5 days a week with 2 days off - schedule to be discussed Primary Responsibilities • Daily housekeeping (dusting, vacuuming, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, washing floors) • Daily meal preparation and kitchen organization • Daily laundry and ironing • Day-to-day care of the children and the residence • Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks (mostly outsourced to external companies) • Special projects that could include but are not limited to quarterly deep cleans, kitchen/bedroom cupboard clean and reorganization, refrigerator clean and reorganization • Packing/unpacking of luggage when travelling • Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home • Answering the doorbell (control entries/exits), greeting of guests and visitors • Handling general requests as needed Qualities/Abilities • Excellent housekeeping and laundry skills; correct use of products and methods for fine finishes and surfaces • Excellent time management skills • Excellent active-listening skills and ability to communicate concisely • Applicants must be service-oriented and courteous • Strong attention to details and follow-through on all projects and tasks • Energetic, a self-starter and able to anticipate the needs of the principal • Must maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times, exercise diplomacy, discretion and respect of boundaries • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Be physically fit and able to reach and lift medium weight objects • Flexibility to work outside of strict job description parameters • Flexibility in the working hours, according to the employer’s needs as well as the capacity to work longer hours from time to time • Flexibility to handle last-minute changes • Must have valid vaccination
