We are a Vancouver family looking for a warm, reliable and responsible nanny to care for our 10-year-old daughter after school. Our current nanny is retiring after being with our family for 10 years, and we’re hoping to find someone who can become a similarly trusted and consistent part of our family. The position will primarily involve school pickup, driving our daughter to her activities, preparing meals/snacks for her, and after-school care until we finish work. She is an independent and active 10-year-old, so this role is less about traditional childcare and more about providing a safe, dependable presence and helping her with her afternoon routine. We would also appreciate some light meal preparation, including occasionally preparing a simple dinner for the family (when time permits). We’re not looking for elaborate cooking - just someone comfortable putting together straightforward, healthy meals. A reliable car and clean driving record are essential, as we do not have a vehicle available for the nanny. Mileage will be reimbursed in addition to the hourly rate. We would also love to find someone who is occasionally available for evening or weekend babysitting, although this is optional and would always be arranged in advance. We are looking for someone dependable, kind, and engaging who is interested in a long-term position. We value having someone who develops a genuine relationship with our daughter and becomes a consistent part of her routine. Start date is approximately late October 2026. Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
