We’re looking for a caring and reliable nanny to help with our two wonderful children — ages 6 and 11 — who are both very well-behaved and easygoing. Schedule: Every Monday and Tuesday: 3:00 p.m. school pickup for our 6-year-old Every 2nd Friday: 3:00 p.m. school pickup Occasional evenings if I have work events Opportunity to add more hours over time Location: We live in Yaletown, Vancouver The 6-year-old attends school near skytrain The 11-year-old goes to school in Port Moody who would like company for the trip in the mornings to school Duties: Pickup from school and supervise at our home until I return (typically early evening) Engage the 6-year-old in fun, creative play — arts and crafts, make-believe, and games Light housekeeping when the children are occupied (e.g., tidying toys, dishes, or general cleaning) Occasional evening babysitting Requirements: Must speak English well and communicate clearly, so you can engage with the children. Must be great with children, kind, patient, and dependable Must be comfortable commuting between Yaletown and Port Moody. Skytrain we find is best since we are near the station. Previous childcare or teaching experience is an asset About the kids: The 6-year-old is curious, creative, and loves playing make-believe and doing crafts The 11-year-old is very independent and doesn’t require much supervision but enjoys friendly company. Both are very polite and have great self awareness.
