Patient, energetic, and kind childcare for happy 3 year old
We are located at the beautiful University of B.C., with transit and bike access around the city. We have a quiet home, and are looking for somebody with toddler childcare experience, and a demonstrated interest in early childhood development, play and psychology. An ECE or ECEA certification would be a significant asset, and we will pay accordingly. Your garden suite has a private bathroom, with a separate entrance opening into the yard, a piano, and a fully furnished carpeted room, 2 minutes away from Urban Fare groceries, and coffee shops. This suite rents in Vancouver for $1800, so it's a great deal for your. We have high-speed WIFI, and subscriptions to Disney +, Netlifx, and Amazon Prime Video for your use. We can also pay for a bus pass, and/or you can utilize our car during working hours, if you have a license. We can also pay for your pediatric first aid course, if you don't already have it. We welcome diversity in our home, including newcomers to Canada, persons with disabilities, students, those who face barriers to employment, seniors, veterans of the armed force, and visible minorities. Weight handling of up to 40 lbs is required. We require somebody who is looking for a longer-term placement, who has a passion for spending time with and playing with children: who is patient, calm, likes to pretend, and be creative, likes to sing songs, read, play outside, make arts/crafts with a child. Also, on a professional level, someone who is punctual, reliable, organized, energetic, optimistic, self-starting, and has good communication skills, with at least a high-school education and childcare experience on job-start date. And someone who can take over all house-hold responsibilities while parents are working, including meal preparation and cleaning. We would prefer to pay a salary (eg. $2, 200/month for 35-40 hours/week, with all of your rent and living costs covered, including transportation, kitchen supplies, BC Hydro, WIFI, laundry, etc); but this is negotiable.
