Employer: Jessica – Children / Pets: Two daughters (age 4 and 2), one friendly medium sized dog, one baby arriving in April 2025 Location: Downtown, Vancouver - in a Condo Qualification: We are looking for someone who is experienced with newborns/infants and toddlers who can grow with our family. We are looking for a long term nanny. We would like our nanny to have 4-5 years of experience with one or two other families that we can speak to for references. Ideally it will be great if our nanny has her drivers licence, but not mandatory. She does not need to have her own car. We are looking for covid 19 vaccinated nanny with first aid and CPR certified. If not CPR certified, be open to taking the course at the employer’s expense. Please note we will need to speak to 1-2 references and will do a criminal background check. Responsibilities: We are looking for someone who is patient and kind to our daughters and to engage with them in activities. We are happy to provide any toys or educational materials our nanny wants to engage with our daughters - we do not want our daughter to have any screen time with the nanny. We plan to encourage "independent learning" with our daughter - we want to engage with learning to feed herself etc - we are looking for a nanny who will follow these methods. We are looking for an active nanny who likes to be outdoors and to take our daughters on walks and do play based activities at home. We will need the nanny to prepare food for our daughters on occasion when they are at home with the nanny. If we have our children with us and our nanny is at home - we will like her to do light meal prepping, light housekeeping (vacuum, put dishes away, Swiffer floor, wipe down table and countertop, make the bed, do baby laundry and put away, clean baby toys) and short dog walks. We currently have a full time nanny working with our family who has been with us for 4 years and counting. With the third baby coming, we are looking for a nanny to join our family and grow alongside us through the years. Both our daughters are in school during the weekdays. The 4 year old is in school full time Monday-Friday, and our 2 year old is in school part time, 3 days/week from 8am-4pm. We are a family who loves to travel and in the past, we have taken our current nanny with us on these travels. This is not mandatory, but would be great if our nanny would be open to this. Pay: To be discussed Hours: We are looking for a nanny who can be flexible. We need approx 25-40 hours (hours may slightly change). Monday and Wednesday: 7:00am - 4:00pm (9 hours) Friday: 7:00am - 1:00pm (6 hours) Saturday and Sunday: 8am-4pm (8 hours) We will not need Tuesday or Thursday help. These hours are not set and can be negotiated within reason upon interview. We are mainly looking to enter into a relationship where all parties are happy with the agreed upon scheduling and duties. We are looking for a long term nanny to grow with the family.
