We are looking for a part-time nanny to provide reliable and engaging childcare for our almost 5 year old son, starting as soon as December 1st. Rate is negotiable but in the range of $20-25/hour. Hours of care would be: Mon & Wed - 1130am-4pm, Tues & Thurs - 1130am - 130pm, Friday - 8am - 4pm. Our son is bright, creative, funny, and quirky. He loves zambonis, books, Daniel Tiger, and getting dirty. He is high energy, curious and thoughtful. He does best with caregivers who are consistent, respectful, trusting (and trustworthy), and empowering. Our ideal candidate would have experience with preschool aged children, especially those who are neurodivergent. Ideally you will have an interest and openness to learning about techniques that work best with him (such as declarative language and low-demand parenting) and an eagerness to share your own expertise with him and us! We have a comfortable home in a safe and transit-accessible East Vancouver home (closest skytrains are Commercial Broadway or Nanaimo, easy access to buses on Victoria Drive and Kingsway). No cooking or cleaning is required in this role - besides assembling lunch and snacks from pre-prepared food and tidying up after the meals and general play. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
