We're a warm family of four located in the Point Grey area seeking a full-time helper to provide care mostly for our 3-year-old as our 7-year-old is in primary school most of the day. We're looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual who can seamlessly transition between caring for children and keeping our home organized and tidy. As a working family with one parent working from home, we value the addition of a family helper who will share the responsibility of childcare and light housekeeping. Job responsibilities: - Daily routine including indoor and outdoor playtimes - Meal preparation, adhering to any specific dietary rules. - Maintain cleanliness and organization in children's areas. - Housekeeping duties, including keeping the kitchen tidy and doing children's laundry. - Transportation of children if necessary using public transportation or a family car can provided for use on the job if you have a valid class 5 driver license. Work schedule required: Monday to Friday, morning to mid-day, and mid-day to evening - totaling 40 hours per week. We would compensate more for taking both shifts totally 8 to 10 hours. Qualifications: - Patience, compassion, and an ability to connect and engage with young children. - Previous experience with childcare, particularly young boys. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are imperative. OCD and cleaning welcome :) - Good communication skills and ability to follow instruction - Valid first aid/CPR certification desired. - Ability to travel is a bonus. Positions starts immediately.
