Our names are Adam & Ali. We are looking for part-time help with our son. He is a 13 month-old baby boy that loves to smile, play, and learn new things. Ethan had a radical surgery at 4 months old after showing medication resistance to his epilepsy. A result has been some left sided weakness that we are actively rehabbing.
What we are looking for:
- Mondays & Tuesdays full days from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM required
- another half day / week, we are flexible with the day/time
- someone to join our care team and provide Ethan with support in learning and gaining his strength back
- someone who is kind, gentle and open to learning
- someone who has experience working with infants/toddlers as Ethan will be 1 in February
- ECE if preferred
- nursing background ideal
- willing to compensate for experience with competitive wages
Duties:
- provide care for our baby which includes feeding, changing, playing, being mindful of physiotherapy activities and putting the baby to sleep
- meal preparation for baby (bonus would be for family too)
- assisting in general light housekeeping chores which includes sweeping, dishes, keeping surfaces tidy, cleaning toys and baby laundry
A little about us:
We are both healthcare professionals in our mid-30s and live in Vancouver (Dunbar). Mom is a UBC graduate student and dad works with the Provincial Health Services Authority. Our family enjoys playing soccer, painting, and strolling through Pacific Spirit Park.
If you think you would be a good fit, please reach out and we can arrange a time for a quick coffee/tea!
If looking for full time work and open to doing more chores and meal prep for the family, we are open to discussing this too.
