We're seeking a highly reliable, patient, caring, and good natured nanny & house assistant to help our family starting mid-September. Role includes: *After school/daycare pick ups (3pm, Mon to Fri in East Van - could start earlier if more hours desired) *Driving to pick up kids (prefer driving nanny or car can be provided for you) *meal prep, lunch prep, kitchen clean up, load/unload dishes *keeping kids occupied and engaged at home while mom is working from home until dinner (limited screen time) *kids laundry *home & calendar organization, keeping parents on top of kids schedules, school theme days, running errands as needed *bath & bedtime routine *helping parents with general raising of the children, respecting their approach (eldest son has inattentive type ADHD & requires behavior therapy approach from all caregivers) *would love extra help on weekends, sick days, pro-D days (school closures, non holidays), spring break, summer holiday and Christmas break - paid overtime MUST Have (or being able to get by start date): *valid BC driver's license with clean driving record *infant/child CPR *First Aid *minimum of 2 references from past families, agencies or childcare centres where you've provided childcare services *positive, can-do attitude *need minimal instruction and thrive in fast paced environments (three busy boys!) *good sense of humour & ready to have fun with our crew of boys Good to Have: *5 plus years experience *your own vehicle (you'll be reimbursed per KM driven for gas & wear/tear) *previous experience with twins *previous experience with 3 or more children *previous experience with inattentive ADHD or similar mental health condition *Early Childhood Education certificate or degree or equivalent degree or training Compensation: Competitive pay between $26-$32 per hour based on combination of education, experience, and fit for the role. We have a car you can use on the job for a great candidate who doesn’t have a vehicle. Paid overtime is available. We offer two weeks paid vacation and additional unpaid vacation with enough notice.
